  • Active: The entry-level Peugeot Rifter will be starting at only £19,650. For that price, just a few of your features will include Keeping Assist, AEV, and AC. Opt for the longer model and prices start at £21,570.
  • Allure: The mid-range trim will start at £20,920 for the shorter version and £22,620 for the longer one. Features abound for that price; you’ll enjoy parking sensors, electric rear windows, LED daytime running lights, 16-inch alloy wheels, and a CarPlay and Android Auto compatible 8-inch infotainment system.
  • GT-Line: Your top of the range Rifter will start at £22,570 for the short version and £24,270 for the longer version. Luxury features will include 3D navigation, 17-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry, and a panoramic glass roof.

Why is the Peugeot Rifter Worth Getting Excited For?   

When the Peugeot Rifter was unveiled at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, it stole attention from even models like the Rimac C_Two and Ferrari 488 Pista. It might not have been the most glamourous vehicle there, but it instantly appealed to active families.

It’s available in either long or short configurations, and drivers will have the freedom to mix and match the features they care about most thanks to an innovative module design setup. You could pick it up with sliding doors instead of standard, an opening tailgate, or seven seats – alternatively, you could just go ahead and add a whole host of cubby holes. It’s a ‘do it your way’ kind of vehicle.

From what we’ve seen, the interior is perhaps not quite as luxurious as it could be, but then that’s exactly what you’d expect from a vehicle with this kind of mission statement, and it’s not like it’s arriving without top-tier tech. The availability of CarPlay and Android Auto is particularly impressive, as is the iCockpit 8-inch infotainment system.

As a family vehicle, the Rifter also makes safety technology a paramount concern. Features include adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, blind spot detection, and even an optional reversing camera for easier parking. It’s all going to run on a 1.2-litre petrol engine with a six-speed box, or a diesel with either the same transmission or an eight-speed auto.
